There are a lot of daily posts on the various Facebook widow/widower support groups that I am apart of.
Last night, as I was scrolling down my Facebook newsfeed, a certain post caught my attention. The post is inspiring, as is the man who wrote the words.
Here is what Albert had to say:
I lost my wife of 20 years the day after Thanksgiving, 2013. 2 weeks ago I found out I have stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver.
I could sit here and yet again….shake my fists at God and scream, “What else are you going to do!” “Taking my wife wasn’t enough!?”
But instead….I’m going to fight….fight for our children and see the positive in this….losing my wife has made me a stronger man….
This is just more weight added to the barbell….to strengthen me even more! I don’t see these kinds of things as setbacks anymore…to me…they are opportunities for me to grow as a human being…..a man…and a father….
I am gonna be soo friggen awesome someday!😂😂😂
